June 18, 2024. The ICLEI World Congress 2024 kicks off! Hosted by the city of São Paulo, Brazil, the ICLEI World Congress 2024 is a landmark gathering focused on advancing sustainable urban development and equitable adaptation to local and regional challenges.
The ICLEI World Congress is the main event of the São Paulo Urban Summit, a week-long series of activities highlighting the critical role of cities in climate change. As Brazil officially takes over the G20 presidency from India, Brazilian cities will lead the U20, giving voice to cities at the heart of G20 economies. The week will also include the Metropolis Board of Directors meeting, further reinforcing the importance of cities on the global stage.
The Congress hosted a presentation session for the Federesco project, Sun4U.
