Orto Urbano Comunitario Ort9-Vivere In Casal Brunori Roma.
On Wednesday 9 April 2025 the Sustainable Technology Demonstrator will be inaugurated, also created with the contribution of SUN4U. The Demonstrator is the end point of a journey in which several actors participated, each of whom contributed their own skills.
In addition to contributing to the realization, SUN4U, together with its entire work group, provided technical skills and support for engagement activities in the Ort9-Vivere-In community urban garden, to gardeners and citizens of the neighborhood on the issues of energy efficiency and the role of solidarity CERs for an energy transition accessible to all through the SUN4U App.
The Demonstrator is the result of a collaboration between the SUN4U project and the Faculty of Architecture of Sapienza University of Rome through the Workshop coordinated by Professor Elisa Pennacchia with the involvement of students who followed the entire design process up to assembly in the Ort9.
On April 9, 2025, the Demonstrator will be presented to the entire community after the inauguration of the Oliveto Urbano Parco Brasini in Rome Capitale, created with the Consulta della Cultura del Municipio Roma IX EUR.
The intangible resources of the electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic system installed on the demonstrator for educational purposes and the 79 kWp CERS Casal Brunori ETS created as a pilot of SUN4U meet the material agricultural resources of the community urban garden Ort9-Vivere-In for new, more inclusive and sustainable urban communities.
